Alex Ehler

Alex Ehler is Counselor to the Solicitor of Labor at the U.S. Department of Labor, where he focuses on litigation and rulemaking involving labor-management standards, wage and hour law, and federal contractor compliance. He previously served as Assistant General Counsel at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, where his work included successfully defending the President’s Article II removal authority before the Merit Systems Protection Board. Before entering federal service, Alex practiced labor and employment law with Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff in Chicago, Illinois and with Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease in Columbus, Ohio. Alex earned his J.D. and B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
