Engagement Associate

About the Position

Represent the Institute to donors, alumni, and friends in person and on social media. This entry-level position will play a pivotal role in conveying the JWI mission, values, and objectives to those audiences. The role will primarily focus on fundraising and donor engagement. Additionally, the role involves keeping in touch with our JWI Fellow Alumni, as well as implementing marketing strategies and enhancing our online presence. This work will be performed in our Alexandria, Virginia offices.

Position Details

ORGANIZATIONAL MISSION

  • To restore the American Founders’ understanding of the moral grounds of our rights by bringing back a commonsense foundation to the study of law to inspire a new generation to discover anew our Nation’s absolute truths.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Spearhead fundraising initiatives and grant writing management.
  • Manage digital marketing & media representation.
  • Maintain relationships with donors and Fellowship Alumni.

COMPENSATION

  • Salary and yearly bonus commensurate with skills, experience, and performance.
  • SEP IRA plan and four weeks of vacation annually.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • An outgoing and positive demeanor, as well as enthusiasm for learning how to implement a development and communication strategy.
  • Demonstrated examples of being on time and able to meet actions required to goals.
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, writing and management skills.

EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM program preferred.

TIMELINE REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to begin full-time employment by June 15, 2025 or sooner.
