The Future of Religion in American Politics
By The James Wilson Institute • Posted on Feb 2 2007
The topic of the 2007 Ronald Reagan Symposium was “The Future of Religion in American Politics.” Panelists discussed religion as both a dividing and uniting force in American politics. Among the topics addressed were the founding principles of the republic and the inclusion of the Bill of Rights in the Constitution, the role of faith and belief in the public and private lives of historic American figures, and contemporary debate over the role of religious belief in public policy.
