Casey Witte

Casey Witte is a Solicitor General Fellow with the Florida Office of the Attorney General. He previously clerked for Judge James C. Dever III on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina and will be clerking for Judge Edith B. Clement on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in 2026. Casey graduated cum laude from Duke University School of Law in 2024, where he was the first student in Duke Law history to win all three of the school’s moot court tournaments. Casey also served as a member of the Lateral Faculty Appointments Committee, member of the Mock Trial Board, Lead Articles Editor for Law & Contemporary Problems, and Vice-President for Membership & Publicity for the Duke Federalist Society. Casey grew up between North Carolina, Arizona, and Florida, receiving his B.A. and B.S. from the University of Florida with honors in 2020. In his free time, Casey enjoys reading modern fiction, hiking in our nation’s national parks, and relaxing with his cat Hal.
