Jamie McWilliam is a law clerk to the Honorable Lawrence VanDyke on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Before clerking, he practiced at Kirkland & Ellis in Houston, where he will be returning later this year. He has written on a variety of topics, including jurisprudence, the Second Amendment, space law, and trusts and estates. His latest article, A Classical Legal Interpretation of the Second Amendment, was recently published in the Texas Review of Law & Politics. He holds a J.D from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor on the Journal of Law & Public Policy and the Journal of Law & Technology. While in law school, he performed pro bono services for the First Liberty Institute and Massachusetts Citizens for Life. He also holds a B.S. in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Montana State University.
