Miranda Sherrill

Miranda Cherkas Sherrill practices with Schaerr | Jaffe LLP, specializing in social issues and election law. Previously, she worked in Jones Day’s DC office and clerked for Judge Ryan Nelson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and in her home state for Justice Carla Wong McMillian of the Supreme Court of Georgia. A 2020 graduate of BYU Law, Miranda was accepted into the Order of the Coif and was a member of the law review, a Federalist Society board member, and JRCLS Religious Liberty Fellow. Before law school, she earned a BA as a first-generation college student at the University of Chicago and served her mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sydney, Australia speaking Mandarin. She and her husband met in their 1L section and have three rowdy future lawyers at home.
